A shutter should cost about twice as much as custom ordered two-inch wood blind; except for specialty shaped arched windows. Acceptable terms of Payment? Both deposits and final payments may be paid by cash, check, or participating credit cards. What wood do we use to build your shutters? The Shutter Factory uses only the highest quality basswood to manufacture your custom plantation shutter order. Basswood is used in the wood blind industry as well. How do you paint your shutters? All our shutters are prep-sanded before they are primed with under coater, then carefully hand sanded. The layered top coats are then applied and set to dry in our drying room. What is covered in the "Lifetime Warranty"? All of the wood in the shutters and the workmanship to manufacture the shutters are covered for "Life", granted to the original purchaser. This covers warping, cracking, and splitting. The paint finish carries a five year warranty against defects. This warranty does not cover damage caused by neglect or abuse (i.e. children kicking soccer balls against the shutters, damage from pets, etc.) nor will it cover imperfections due to the house settling causing the panels to no longer align properly. Water or rain damage is also not covered; this is visible damage near the bottom of the panels and the bottom frame. What are the advantages of buying shutters direct from The Shutter Factory?
